One Thing

Mother: If you were to ask to have one thing changed in me, what would that be?

Son No.1: ....

Son No. 2...

Mother: ?

Son No. 1: Ummm, we need time to think about that.

Son No. 2: No idea.

(Short pause)

Mother: Well, any idea?

Son No. 1: I think it's your temper.

Mother: How about you? (To Son No. 2)

Son No. 2: I think it's your temper, too.

Mother: My temper is notorious. So it's common consensus that it should be changed. Will you help me?

Son No. 1 and Son No.2 : Sure.

(Son No. 1 and Son No. 2 went on to give suggestions on what THEY can do to help...lesser teasing, more obedience, etc.)

Mother (to herself): They are such great kids...and deserve a better "me".
